We LOVE stories

We LOVE stories, both the stories behind songs but also the stories behind the audio that our customers choose for their SoundLines. 

A big part of the joy and privilege of running SoundLines is when customers tell us these stories. They are always deeply meaningful memories for each person and often very intimate glimpses into personal moments for them. Sometimes celebratory, sometimes joyful but actually often painful. 

A large proportion of our orders are people ordering SoundLines as wedding anniversary gifts or personalised wedding gifts - a first dance song, the song they walked down the aisle to, the song playing when they entered the venue for the first time as a married couple. We also get a lot of orders from pregnant women or from friends of pregnant women, as baby shower gifts. These are orders where people are looking for a sentimental and unique artwork for a baby room and so create a SoundLine of the heartbeat of the unborn baby. 

But then you get those orders that hit you in the feels:

A couple who lost a child and associate a song with that loss, but they cannot actually listen to the song because it is too triggering so they create a bespoke artwork so that they can access the music in an alternative way. A young woman who lost a dear family member to COVID and wants him memorialised and present in her life through creating a SoundLine of a song they both loved. The bark of a beloved family pet who has passed away. 

We are privileged to create these unique bespoke gifts and to be allowed into these private moments. So this is a thank you from us to you for trusting us with your stories.
